lahznimmo were engaged by the City of Canterbury Bankstown Council for the redevelopment of the Roberts Park Community Centre located in Greenacre. The DA was completed in 2024 and provides a new scheme for a community hub facility.
The existing car park and community facility will be demolished, with a new car park area and footpath developed, seamlessly linking the new facility to the existing park infrastructure.
The new facility will be approximately 1,000 m² in size and will include:
550 m² multipurpose community centre
300 m² library and knowledge centre
150 m² shared space accommodating the building foyer entrance and public toilets
The outdoor areas around the facility will include a new landscaped terrace connected to a multi-purpose hall and an outdoor reading room with connection to the library. Landscaping, a new car park, and footpaths will link the facility to the existing Early Learning Centre, Greenacre Splash Park, and Roberts Park Sporting Field.
