Julia Young Profile

Julia Young | Graduate

 Julia Young graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the University of Technology, Sydney. Since graduating Julia has gained experience in urban design, urban strategy, strategic planning, and placemaking.

 Most recently Julia worked with the National Design & Masterplanning team at Lendlease supporting the development team in the generation of design responses to development briefs. The role involved project origination and project positioning. Transitioning mixed-use development opportunities into schematic design briefs as well as contributing to the design review and planning approval process.

 Prior to this Julia worked at Six Degrees Urban which involved working on a diverse range of projects, from strategic design to project positioning for the public and private sectors. Julia contributed to the development of a number of studies and reports which measure and analyse an urban area or system and draw from that recommendations and principles with a focus on the fine grain and public domain of cities and urban dynamics. These responses included strategic plans, structure plans, master plans, urban design solutions, design competitions, public domain design, and implementing concepts through the preparation of Urban Design Guidelines and Development Applications.

Since joining lahznimmo architects in 2022 Julia has worked on numerous public projects including the Centennial Park Administration Building Refurbishment, the redevelopment of Waverley Council Chambers, and the Blacktown Disability Sports Centre.
