This amenities building forms part of the masterplan for a large public amenities programme at Stanhope Gardens for Blacktown Council which includes playing fields, playgrounds, ball courts and landscaped open space. lahznimmo architects were engaged by Landscape Architects Oculus on behalf of Mirvac who are developing the Stanhope Gardens area. The building contains male, female and accessible public toilets, changerooms, meeting room, a canteen/kiosk and covered outdoor space. It has been sited and designed as a long linear structure broken in two which embraces the edge of the playing fields and associated perimeter path. The building also serves as a means of connection between the nearby road to the east and the playing fields to the west. Being on one level the building becomes elevated above the path as it falls to the north generating a series of broad steps as a place to sit and view the activity on the field.
