In April 1998 the Royal Easter Show held its first Easter Show at its new home at Homebush Bay. The Olympic Co-ordination Authority realized that the vast majority of visitors going to the 1998 show would receive their first experience of the new Homebush Bay site, which at that point in time was ostensively, a construction site. The brief from the Olympic Co-ordination Authority (OCA) was to develop a Temporary Public Domain Overlay at Homebush Bay in the form of a “Kit of Parts” which would not only set the scene for the 1998 Easter Show, but also provide the visitor with an exciting first experience of the Homebush Bay Site in progress. The “Kit of Parts” comprises the following elements: Towers, Hoardings, Banners and Temporary Signage.
