The Kensington Colleges Feasibility and Concept Design comprised master planning four separate projects within a small campus defined by Basser and Goldstein College. The scope of the projects included: The provision of new postgraduate student accommodation within Basser College, in an area currently housing the college administration center. New accommodation for the administration staff to be located in the Goldstein College Undercroft. A new link building connecting Goldstein North and South buildings containing new student common areas and student accommodation. The strategic refurbishment of the existing Figtree Kiosk providing a new permeability and visual connection to the Main Quadrangle. Accessibility and an emphasis on providing new workable connections within the existing framework of the existing building fabric were also important aspects of the brief.
