The program for this project was to demolish an existing dilapidated amenities building and provide a new building to house amenities, change and lunchroom facilities for the staff at Centennial Parklands. Aside from its functional purpose this new facility provides the park staff with a much needed communal and social focus. The building is linear in form and completes a built edge to a large forecourt of maintenance buildings. A verandah element is used to integrate the new building into the language of the existing depot complex. The length of the building is punctuated by a central breezeway space, which acts to both link and buffer the lunchroom facility from the amenities and change rooms.
